FAQs
How do I book a cake?
Click on the treat(s) you’d like to order on the scheduling page. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit (with the remainder due prior to pick-up) to reserve your order. Your order is not reserved without either deposit or full payment being made and the receipt of a confirmation email. Please consider booking well in advance of your event as our calendar fills quickly!
What if I need to cancel my booking?
Unfortunately, the deposit is non-refundable. Any payments, in addition to the deposit, may be refunded and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Do you offer fondant cakes?
We specialize in American buttercream cakes. However, fondant, edible images and other cake decorations are available as optional cake accents.
How is cake price determined?
The cost of a custom cake is determined by the size of cake/servings, number of tiers, flavor of cake, special fillings (if any) and complexity of decorations/customizations. All of our cakes are one-of-a-kind creations. We take inspiration from past cakes we’ve made, as well as other baker’s/artist’s work, but we do not recreate cakes. With the uniqueness of our baked goods, all cakes are priced individually with your aesthetic in mind.
Can I add custom touches to my cake?
Cake accents are design elements added to the exterior buttercream finish. They are individually priced and include (but are not limited to) chocolate drip, fondant features, edible images, chocolate covered fruit, gold foil, custom cake boards and fresh florals.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, most flavors of cake can be adapted to a gluten free and/or vegan diet.
How long do your cakes last?
Cakes should be stored in the refrigerator until approximately two hours prior to eating—cake is best served at room temperature. Please avoid direct sunlight as buttercream melts easily. Any leftovers should be kept in a sealed container and consumed within a few days.
Is delivery an option?
Pick-up from the Upper Dimond district in Oakland is preferred. Delivery availability is determined by date, time, and distance. A fee is charged for delivery accordingly.
